A significant chapter of my career was spent playing a pivotal role in shaping the Investec brand. I worked at Switch from 2004 to 2007, during which time I quickly rose to the position of Design Lead for the Investec brand, overseeing the development of its Visual Identity. My responsibilities went beyond brand evolution, encompassing internal campaigns, direct mail initiatives, product branding, and the orchestration of both internal and external events, as well as the design of branded interiors.
In 2007, I founded Coppercoast and continued to collaborate with Investec while expanding our creative portfolio to include prominent institutions such as FNB, Nedbank, Deutsche Bank, Clientele, and Sasfin. Our work ranged from comprehensive brand development to the creation of impactful direct mail campaigns designed to attract new investment portfolios.
In 2012, my wife Leoni and I launched Designvow, a freelance/contract service offering. Operating with a lean team of contract brand strategists and copywriters, we delivered high-quality creative services at a competitive price point. During this time, we excelled in conceptual direct mail campaigns, successfully attracting new personal investment portfolios.
To this day, I continue to collaborate with this trusted team, tapping into their expertise and resources when projects require additional capacity.
